A slave for which Sterrett was taxed in 1789 and again in 1802 was "struck off at appeal" and "taxed to Beale & Sterrett at the forge in Milford." That valuation was £45 in 1789.

Guss, writing in the source below, notes that the single slave owned by George Stewart "is the ancestor of Robert Johnson, colored, now living in Beale."

A Valuable Tract of LAND, in Fermanaugh township, on the river Juniata, above the mouth of Tuskarora, joining lands of James Taylor, Samuel Davidson and Andrew Colhoon, with a valuable improvement thereon, a large quantity of meadow, and a good orchard; containing 302 acres:
The terms will be easy to the purchaser, one third in hand and the remainder in three yearly payments, the title is indisputable. Also a young healthy Negro Wench, about 24 years old, who is registered, and sold for no fault. For terms apply to the subscriber near the premises. THOMAS WILSON.
