    Details/Text: "York --May 1784
    Negroe Ceasar complains of being unlawfully confined as a Slave tho he is a freeman."

  • Names: Harry ("Negro Harry")
    Date of item: 12 April 1787
    Location: York
    Item:   Escaped prisoner
    Details/Text: "BROKE out of York Goal on the eighth inst., April, the following
    persons to wit... Negro Harry, about 5 feet 9 inches high, had on a light cloth coat,
    old breeches, blue stockings, and coarse shirt, sharp nose. "
    Notes: Four dollars reward was offered for Harry's capture.
